DECK POSITIONS :
EXPEDITION FLEET :
With the growth of our expedition fleet, we are looking for Officers with Expedition/ice navigation experience and ideally Polar code certified in addition to a valid CoC A-II/1, STCW certification and appropriate certification as required for the position. Our Officers require the ability to maintain a safe navigational watch on the Bridge whilst the vessel is at sea, at anchor and in port, assisting and supporting the Bridge team in every respect according to the Masters or Staff Captains instruction. Extensive and thorough knowledge of and ability to use navigational charts and publications, such as sailing directions, tide tables, notices to mariners, radio navigational warnings and ships routing information. Excellent fluent verbal and written English is essential.
CAPTAIN :
Our Captains hold the overall responsibility to command the operation, guests, crew and safety of the ship by ensuring that maritime protocols, environmental policies and safety regulations are strictly adhered to. Requiring the proficiency and capability to make decisions in order to preserve all life onboard, crisis management and course of action during an emergency. Potential candidates must hold a valid CoC Master unlimited A-II/2, STCW95 certification and appropriate certification as required for the position. Extensive and proven experience as a Captain on a varied class of ships and itineraries is essential, along with public health, coast guard and port state control knowledge. Excellent fluent verbal and written English is essential.
STAFF CAPTAIN :
Our Staff Captains require the capability to stand as 2nd in command of the vessel, holding the responsibility for all matters concerning maintenance, safety and security of the vessel and protection of the environment. Must have the ability to manage and monitor the activities for the Deck department. Potential candidates must hold a valid CoC Master unlimited A-II/2, STCW95 certification and appropriate certification as required for the position. Extensive and proven experience as a Staff Captain on a varied class of ships and itineraries is essential, along with public health, coast guard and port state control knowledge. SAFETY OFFICER :
Our Safety Officers require the ability to ensure the safety of the vessel for all guests and crew. Identifying safety training needs and delivering training as required, maintaining the Muster List and the Shipboard Emergency Organization. Potential candidates must hold a valid CoC A-II/2, STCW95 certification and appropriate certification as required for the position. Extensive and proven experience as a Safety Officer on a varied class of ships and itineraries is essential, along with public health, coast guard and port state control knowledge. Candidates must have completed Train the Trainer, Public Health, Sanitation and Environmental training courses. Excellent fluent verbal and written English is essential.
ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICER :
Our Environmental Officers require the ability to deliver and maintain the environmental compliance of the vessel by managing, overseeing and assisting shipboard personnel in complying with National and International laws and regulations. Potential candidates must hold a valid CoC A-II/2, STCW95 certification and appropriate certification as required for the position. Under the guidance of the Captain and Staff Captain our Deck Cadets are expected to apply practically the knowledge gained at nautical college, gaining first-hand experience in seamanship and developing their knowledge and understanding of the overall operation of the vessel. Our Deck Cadets require the ability to participate and assist in navigational watches under the supervision of the on duty Officer to learn watch keeping requirements, the practical and theoretical aspects of a safe navigational watch. Potential candidates must have completed a Maritime Cadet program or be currently enrolled in an accredited Maritime Cadet program. Candidates must hold valid STCW95 certification and appropriate certification as required by regulations. Excellent fluent verbal and written English is essential.
SECURITY OFFICER :
Our Security Officers require the ability to administrate and supervise the security of the ship at sea, in port, at anchor and whilst the ship is under repair. To ensure that the day to day security operations are in accordance with the ships security plan. Potential candidates must hold valid STCW95 certification and appropriate certification as required for the position. Extensive experience in subordinate positions and onboard passenger ships in a similar role is imperative. Excellent fluent verbal and written English is essential.
DOCTOR :
Our Doctors are required to provide high quality individualized daily medical care to guests and crew through a clinic service and on-call provision, performing routine and emergency care, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, disorders and diseases through the application of specialist medical skills and knowledge. Potential candidates must be a registered Doctor with extensive experience in primary care, trauma, internal medicine and family practice, with a recent emergency room or critical care background. Candidates must have a full knowledge of public health, sanitation and environmental policies. Excellent fluent verbal and written English is essential.
NURSE :
Our Nurses are required to provide high quality individualized daily medical care to guests and crew through a clinic service and on-call provision, providing the upmost support to the Doctor.
